Not knowing who it was makes it harder to learn and improve. Instagram's choice to hide this information creates ambiguity and prevents us from understanding what works or what doesn't.

Instagram might claim it's about privacy, but in a world where personal data is constantly exploited, it feels more like an excuse than a real commitment to user protection. Transparency should be a basic part of social media, not a luxury.

By hiding unfollowers, Instagram reinforces the shallow side of social networking. We end up chasing vanity metrics without the chance to reflect on why someone left. For example, one of us shared photos from a meaningful trip, only to see a drop in followers afterward. Without understanding why, it's just confusing and a missed opportunity to grow.
